We will be sending the bracelets that we make through Operation Gratitude:

Operation Gratitude annually sends 100,000+ care packages to individually named U.S. Service Members deployed in harm’s way, to their Children left behind, and to veterans, First Responders, Wounded Warriors and their Care Givers.  Click here to read how these paracord bracelets are used by our military.

Joani Wafer received all of the heart-felt get well cards that we made and wrote back to thank us.  Please read her letter below…

“A huge thanks to all of you for making my day a happy one! I was so pleased when I read all your cards…they were all so creative….and the nice messages you sent with your cards were much appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to make me a card.  I felt better right away as I was reading them.  I am back at home now, resting and on my way back to recovery.
Keep up the good work with Kids Korps. You are all special, devoting your time to helping others. You are making a big difference in your community with your dedication and acts of kindness.  I am proud of you all.”

Roses for Seniors – Tue Dec 24

Wear: Red Kids Korps T-shirt (or another red t-shirt).  Wear a Santa Hat too, if you have one!

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Roses for our Senior Friends” was developed in 2004 by a father and daughter team here in Carlsbad. Several hundred volunteers deliver 4000+ roses to 21 facilities throughout North San Diego County.

*Participants will sign in at Harding Community Center Auditorium and will be given directions to a pre-assigned Senior Facility.  Our group will then caravan to designated facility with buckets full of beautiful roses.

Directions: Exit I-5 at Carlsbad Village Drive going west. 
Turn left on Harding Street. The Harding Center will be on the left.
